Prosthodontics is the branch of dentistry pertaining to the restoration and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patient by restoration of natural teeth and/or replacement of missing teeth.

To become a Prosthodontist, one must complete years of supervised specialist postgraduate study and training at a university dental school, to achieve a high level of expertise.
